Help ensure a smooth delivery by following these four packaging tips.

1. Choose the right box
- Use a strong, undamaged box
- Select a box that is not too big or too small that comfortably holds your contents
- Pack heavier items in a double-wall box for added strength
- Check the Manufacturer’s Certification Stamp (on the bottom outer flap) for specific box strength details
- Ensure your shipment falls within our maximum size and weight limitations. The weight of the contents should not exceed 50% of the gross weight limit indicated on the Manufacturer’s Certification Stamp on the box. The outer box should be rated at a minimum edge crush test (ECT) value of 32 lbs./inch or bursting test of 200 lbs./sq. inch, as indicated on the Manufacturer’s Certification stamp.
2. Cushion your contents
- Wrap and pack all items separately
- To protect the contents, pack items in the centre of the box, ensuring 3” (7.6 cm) of cushioning material from the box walls
- Wrap any sharp edges or protrusions with extra padding
- Fill all empty space with appropriate filler material to prevent movement during shipping

3. Seal the box securely
- Use pressure-sensitive packing tape or water-activated paper tape that is at least 3” (7.6 cm) wide
- Seal all flaps and seams using the H – style taping method below
- Never use masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string, rope or elastic to seal packages
The H – style taping method:
- Apply one strip of tape to the centre seam
- Seal the edge seams on both ends with two strips of tape
- Repeat the process for the top of the box
4. Label the outer box clearly
- Remove labels and markings from previous shipments
- Place a clearly completed label with full delivery and contact details on the box’s largest surface, and an extra copy of the label inside the box
- Never place a label over seams, fold it over box edges or apply tape over it
