Please note the following information does not apply to brand new gas-powered equipment that has never contained fuel. However, please determine if any other safety regulations apply to such items before shipping.

If you are shipping equipment such as chainsaws, portable generators, lawn equipment, boat motors, tools or any other device that is powered by gasoline, dangerous goods regulations apply. For air transport, the shipments must be fully regulated. However, some exemptions may apply for ground transport.

It is the shipper’s responsibility to ensure that all TDGR or ICAO requirements have been met. Irrespective of any exemptions, in order to protect against fuel leakage and putting our employees and customers' property at risk, we require the shipper make arrangements to have the tank emptied to the greatest extent possible, prior to offering for transport.

Shipments containing gasoline in equipment can be prepared online or using the Purolator E-Ship®Server.

Information is provided for guidance purposes only. Please refer to applicable dangerous goods laws and regulations to ensure compliance prior to shipping.
