TORONTO, July 13, 2022 — Purolator has been named on the Forbes list of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity 2022, ranking 14th out of 150 organizations. This prestigious award acknowledges Canadian companies most dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I).

The organization’s DE&I strategy has several initiatives including enhancing data reporting processes to set targets and track progress; applying a DE&I lens to its hiring processes; facilitating employee discussions and education; developing new training programs; and engaging with the community.

Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity were selected based on Statista's innovative methodology, guaranteeing unbiased results and providing reliable insights. Approximately 10,000 professionals working for companies employing at least 500 people in their Canadian operations were surveyed to identify Canada's Best Employers for Diversity. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to give their opinions on a series of statements regarding age, gender, ethnicity, disability, 2SLGBTQ+ and general diversity in their current workplace. The recommendations of women, seniors and ethnic minorities were given more weight than those from non-minority groups. Diversity among top executives and board members and diversity engagement indicators were also part of the evaluation.
