TORONTO, May 29, 2019 – Purolator is proud to announce it has been recognized as one of Canada’s most innovative retailers by the Retail Council of Canada. The company earned top spot in the Pop-up Experience and Design category for its Mobile Quick Stop truck concept at the Council’s annual Excellence in Retailing Awards ceremony.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of our commitment to constantly innovate to deliver an exceptional experience for businesses and consumers across Canada,” said John Ferguson, President and CEO, Purolator. “We are honoured to receive this award alongside some of the top brands in the country and we are grateful to the Retail Council of Canada for acknowledging our leadership in customer service and innovation.”

“This Pop-up Experience and Design award recognizes the very best in our industry, which develop original and visually enticing in-store or out-of-store experiences, with the goal of increasing brand awareness, testing a new store concept and driving customers to a specific location,“ said Diane J. Brisebois, President and CEO, Retail Council of Canada. “Retail in Canada needs creative and innovative leaders, like Purolator, to drive future success for the market.”

Purolator’s Mobile Quick Stops – the first of their kind in Canada – are retail outlets on wheels. They provide consumers, online retailers and businesses exceptional convenience and customer service for delivering packages and picking them up in busy urban centres. Currently located in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver, the company plans to expand its Mobile Quick Stop truck service to more Canadian neighbourhoods as part of its commitment to innovating in last-mile delivery.
