Two Canadian icons come together in a partnership to deliver success on the ice and in communities across Canada leading up to 2022 Winter Olympic Games
ST. JOHN’S, Aug. 30, 2018 – Purolator is proud to announce a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Team Gushue. Led by Canadian Olympic gold medallist Brad Gushue, the team has won the Brier – the annual Canadian men's curling championship – for the past two years and is currently ranked number one in the world.
“Team Gushue and Purolator are recognized as Canadian leaders and our partnership is such a strong fit,” says Ramsey Mansour, Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing, Purolator. “We have a shared commitment to achieving best-in-class results, exceeding expectations and making a positive difference in communities across Canada. Purolator is extremely proud to support the continued success of Team Gushue, and we look forward to going all the way to earn a gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.”
“We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Purolator that shares the same values as our team,” said Brad Gushue, Team Gushue Skip. “Much like Purolator’s team of dedicated employees, Team Gushue aims to deliver the right timing, to the right spot, every time. We’re thrilled that we have found a perfect match with Purolator.”
Through this partnership, the company will expand its Purolator Tackle Hunger® program. With Team Gushue’s support throughout Atlantic Canada, more communities will get help putting nutritious food in the hands of those who need it most.
Team Gushue is represented by talent from Atlantic and Western Canada: Brad Gushue, Skip (Newfoundland and Labrador); Mark Nichols, Third (Newfoundland and Labrador); Brett Gallant, Second (Prince Edward Island) and Geoff Walker, Lead (Alberta). Having proven it can compete and succeed on national and international levels, Team Gushue is still one of the younger teams at the top of its game.
