Small businesses are critical to the health and vibrancy of Canadian communities. But they do not always get the respect – and recognition – they deserve.
The new Purolator Small Businesses Heroes Contest helps ensure Purolator’s small business customers receive plenty of both.
Teaming up for Canadian small business.
Created by Purolator in partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), the contest will recognize one company as the Small Business Hero of The Year and award it with the Ultimate CFL Fan Experience at this year’s 108th Grey Cup.
Plus, nine small businesses – one from each CFL market – will be recognized during a select home game, on CFL.ca and across CFL social channels.
Helping small businesses get to the next level.
“Small businesses typically don’t have a big budget to promote themselves”, says Tanya D’Leema, Senior Consultant, Brand & Marketing Communications. “This represents an opportunity to boost their audience, and their business.”
Over the past year, Purolator has responded to the changing needs and expectations of their small business customers in other ways. It launched the True North Small Business Grant Contest this summer and enhanced the Purolator Business Rewards® Program.
“It’s all about recognizing the incredible contributions of Canadian small businesses day in, day out,” says D’Leema. “I think we were all reminded how important small businesses are since the pandemic, especially on the community level.”
Great teammates giving back to communities.
Purolator has been a long-standing sponsor of the CFL. In addition to the Small Business Heroes Contest, the two have partnered for over a decade on Purolator Tackle Hunger®, an award-winning initiative that helps community food banks across Canada.
