Fort McMurray, Aug. 17, 2015 – To address current capacity needs and prepare for future volume growth in northern Alberta, Purolator is pleased to announce that its terminal and Purolator Shipping Centre have moved into a larger facility at 240 MacKay Crescent.
More than 72 per cent larger than the previous location, this new facility features modern imaging and material-handling equipment, four times the number of loading docks and flexibility for future growth.
The 17,185-square-foot location will also include more than 1,000 square feet for its Purolator Shipping Centre, which will house the busiest of the company’s eight retail locations in Alberta.
“This is a great success story for Fort McMurray because it sends a signal that Purolator is prepared for future growth in the local community,” said Stephen Thomas, Purolator’s Operations Director for the Prairies Division. “This relocation enables our growth and expansion in Fort McMurray and strengthens our overall presence and operations delivery in Western Canada.”
In addition to Fort McMurray, the terminal and Purolator Shipping Centre will service shipping demand from industries in northern Alberta and in Western Canada.
