Toronto, April 29, 2014 – Purolator Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received the Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada’s (SMCC) first-ever Hall of Fame award. The award, recognizing the Purolator Tackle Hunger (PTH) program was presented at the SMCC’s 10th annual Sponsorship Marketing Awards in Toronto on April 29, 2014.
A three-time winner of a Sponsorship Marketing Award (SMA), the PTH program joins Kraft Hockeyville as the first-ever Hall of Fame award recipients. In its inaugural year, this prestigious award recognizes sponsorship marketing programs that have shown outstanding success. To qualify to win this award, programs must have already won three or more Gold and/or Best of Show awards at the SMAs in previous years.

With more than 6.5 million pounds of food raised to date, the Purolator Tackle Hunger program is set to kick-off this year’s program with PTH Week, June 2 – 6. During PTH Week, more than 12,000 Purolator employees – as well as Purolator partners, agents and customers – across Canada team up to raise food and funds for local food banks.
