New Canadian Export Regulations
The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) now requires you to declare all goods destined to an international location.
Goods not controlled, regulated or prohibited by a Canadian governmental agency must be reported to the CBSA prior to export when the goods are valued at $2,000 (CAN) or more and the final destination of the goods is a country other than the US, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
Goods that are controlled, regulated or prohibited (regardless of value) must be reported to customs and be accompanied by permits, licenses or certificates required for export. This includes shipments destined to the US.
Shipments received without proof of export will be returned to sender.
