Purolator Courier Ltd. receives prestigious quality award
Purolator Courier Ltd., Canada’s largest courier company, has won the prestigious 2005 Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE) bronze quality award from the National Quality Institute (NQI).
Purolator is the first Canadian courier company to be honoured by the NQI for workplace excellence based on quality systems and healthy workplace criteria.
“Receiving the CAE award is a great achievement and marks a significant milestone for Purolator. It could not have been achieved without the commitment to excellence that Purolator employees demonstrate each and every day,” said Robert Johnson, President and CEO of Purolator. “The award signifies one of many accomplishments Purolator continues to achieve on its journey towards excellence.”
The NQI, an independent, not-for-profit organization, is the leading authority in Canada on workplace excellence based on quality systems and healthy workplace criteria. NQI provides organizations with strategic business frameworks, services and tools that support ongoing performance improvement in quality and healthy workplace environments.
The CAE is NQI’s annual awards program designed to give recognition to Canadian organizations that have displayed outstanding performance in the areas of quality and healthy workplace. Success in the program is based on a commitment to innovation, productivity, healthy workplace and ethics, and demonstration of sustainable measures of continuous improvement.
Purolator will receive its CAE award at the annual Canada Awards for Excellence and Performance Excellence Summit on Thurs. Oct. 20 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
