Purolator Courier Ltd. Delivers Support for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games Bid

Canada's leading overnight courier company to deliver Vancouver's Bid to the International Olympic Committee

 

The Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation announced today that Purolator Courier Ltd. is joining the team supporting Vancouver's Bid to secure the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games. The courier company's first order of business will be to deliver the bid books to the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland by January 10th, 2003.

 

As a community contributor and exclusive courier service of the Vancouver 2010 Bid, Purolator will provide a financial contribution and in kind courier services. The Company will also promote the Vancouver 2010 Bid on its British Columbia fleet of trucks and on select Purolator packaging products.

Vancouver is Canada's Candidate City for the 2010 Winter Games. Member partners of the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation are the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia, the City of Vancouver, the Resort Municipality of Whistler and the Canadian Olympic Committee. The Bid Corporation's board of directors is drawn from a variety of community interests, including all levels of government, First Nations, and the business and sport communities. The Bid Corporation is supported by more than 160 companies, corporations and organizations. The International Olympic Committee will select the 2010 Host City in July 2003.
