Purolator opens new terminal in Langley, British Columbia
Port Kells terminal to support growing customer needs in Greater Vancouver Area
Langley, B.C. (Feb. 1, 2008) -- Purolator Courier Ltd., Canada’s largest overnight courier company, today announced that its new Port Kells terminal is open for business. Equipped with the latest material handling equipment and a staff of 50 employees and 50 Owner-Operators, the 76,000 square foot terminal will support the region’s courier operation and includes an on-site retail centre for customer convenience.
Construction of the new terminal began in June 2007 and was completed within seven months. Located at 9325-200 St. in Langley, B.C. the facility can accommodate up to 65 pick up and delivery vehicles.
“The Port Kells terminal will provide the long-term capacity Purolator requires to ensure the highest standard of service to our customers in the Greater Vancouver Area, the Pacific region and across our entire operation,” said Robert C. In addition to the opening of the Port Kells terminal, Purolator is also expanding its Richmond hub facility. Both initiatives represent key milestones in Purolator’s company-wide investment strategy that is introducing new options, new solutions and new capabilities to its customers.
