Purolator Tackle Hunger program wins two Cassies
Sponsorship program recognized for excellence in advertising
The Purolator Tackle Hunger program was a big winner at the 2006 Cassies awards claiming two Bronze Cassies. Purolator and the GEM Group – the marketing agency that helped develop the Purolator Tackle Hunger program – were awarded the Cassies for advertising effectiveness in the Services General and Small Budget categories.
2006 is proving to be a milestone year for the Purolator Tackle Hunger program. In addition to surpassing the one million pound mark for food collected and donated to local Canadian food banks, the program was also awarded the Canadian Football League’s Rouge Award, a Canadian Public Relations Society award of merit, and two Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada awards.
“The Cassies awards recognize the best of the best of marketing in Canada,” said Brian Meagher, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. “It is a tremendous achievement to be awarded two bronze Cassie awards. It clearly demonstrates that the Purolator Tackle Hunger program is making people across the country stand up and take notice.”
