Purolator Tackle Hunger program recognized at the 2008 Sponsorship Marketing Awards
Program recognized with Award of Distinction
For the third consecutive year the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada has honoured Purolator with a Sponsorship Marketing Award. Purolator was recognized with an Award of Distinction in the Sustained Success category for the 2007 Purolator Tackle Hunger program.
“The tremendous support that the Purolator Tackle Hunger program receives across Canada is a testament to the dedication of our employees, the Canadian Football League, football fans and the Canadian Association of Food Banks,” stated Brian Meagher, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
Purolator Tackle Hunger surpassed its previous year’s performance with the 2007 campaign raising the equivalent of 422,922 pounds of food, a 17 per cent increase over 2006. Since the program’s inception, Purolator Tackle Hunger has generated more than 1.4 million pounds of food for food banks across Canada.
As Canada’s largest courier company with national resources of more than 12,500 employees and a fleet of more than 3,000 vehicles with the ability to reach almost every destination point in Canada, Purolator is helping make a tangible and immediate difference to alleviating hunger.
