Mr. Burke is a founding partner of, and Chief Executive Officer for, StarDyne Technologies Inc., a British Columbia company making strategic investments in businesses providing software and related solutions to the public sector, including local government and education. He has financial, systems and operational backgrounds and has participated and led the strategic planning and visioning of both large and small companies within several industries. Prior to establishing StarDyne in 2001, he was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for Western Star Trucks Holdings Ltd., a publicly-traded company, and prior to that he held positions with Gentek Building Products Inc. and various senior financial and systems positions with subsidiaries of Alcan Aluminum Ltd. for 17 years. He began his career in Information Technology with the federal government in Ottawa, Ontario. Mr. Burke is a Certified Management Accountant, serves as a Director or advisory board member for other companies and previously served as a Director of Purolator from May 2002 to May 2005.
