William A. Henderson is Senior Vice President, Operations of Purolator.

Since joining Purolator in 1990 as Regional Area Manager for London/Sarnia, Mr. Henderson has held increasingly senior positions including Managing Director, Operations Central Ontario; and Vice President, Operations and National Shipping Centres.

Mr. Henderson leads the Operations team across Canada, which consists of 9,400 employees within the courier, ground transportation, sortation plants, and cargo airline network. This includes 3,065 courier vans, 831 tractor-trailers, 42 garage facilities, as well as 12 Boeing 727s and five turbo-prop aircrafts.

In addition to leading Purolator’s Operations team, Mr. Henderson leads Purolator’s Security and Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations departments.

Purolator’s purpose is to be the leading provider of integrated distribution solutions to, from and within Canada and Mr. Henderson’s leadership style inspires and encourages Purolator’s purpose as well as its philosophy to continually improve business performance. This is achieved by promoting employee pride and engaging frontline employees to participate in the decision making process.

For the past 12 years, Mr. Henderson has been a member of Purolator’s executive team and he is currently a member of the Executive Council, the corporate Health and Safety Committee and past chair of the Operating Council.

Mr. Henderson is a Director of the Canadian Trucking Alliance, a Director of the Canadian Courier Logistics Association, a member of the Manitoba International Gateway Council and a patron member of the Canadian-American Border Trade Alliance.
